Our Design Philosophy
For Bryn Drafting & Design, our philosophy is rooted in three core principles: Precision, Creativity, and Collaboration.
-
Precision: We believe in attention to detail in every aspect of our work. From drafting blueprints to executing designs, precision ensures the highest quality and reliability in our deliverables.
-
Creativity: Innovation is at the heart of what we do. We foster a culture that encourages thinking outside the box, pushing boundaries, and exploring new possibilities. Creativity infuses life into our designs, making them not just functional but inspiring.
-
Collaboration: We understand that the best results are achieved through teamwork. We value open communication, mutual respect, and the diverse perspectives that each team member brings. Collaboration isn't just a buzzword for us; it's the cornerstone of our success.
Together, these principles guide us in delivering exceptional drafting and design solutions.
BRYN Drafting & Designs goal is to design buildings that are attractive, energy efficient, sustainable, comfortable, healthy, functional, and climate-ready using the house as a system approach.

Company History
BRYN Drafting & Design was founded in 2019 by Sue Gill. Sue comes from a lengthy line of Dutch builders and interestingly enough her maidan name means ‘Master Builder’. Sue enjoyed many years as a young child on her father’s construction sites helping out where she could. After completing interior design school and working for a modular housing company for over 10 years Sue decided to branch out and start her own business in the beautiful Columbia-Shuswap area of BC.
BRYN Drafting and Design has been operating in the Sorrento/Blind Bay area since 2021 and has enjoyed getting to know the community and surrounding areas. Since the company started Sue has become a certified energy advisor and is working towards her Net-Zero & Passive House certifications.
